Ash and Oak Television Table

The impressive 3 inch thick circular top cut from a large slab of ash displays the wonderful colour and grain of the ash tree with a contrasting dark brown knot positioned at the front of the table. The waney edged legs and shelf are constructed from oak and are intended for video storage or ornamental display. Although this table was designed for use as a small televison table its versatility means that it could also be used as a coffee or bedside table.

Cherry and Walnut Coffee Table

The top of this coffee table was made from one length of cherry wood selected for it's beautiful grain and colour as well as its smoothly curving waney edges. This length was cut in half and joined together and it was decided to utilise the natural cupping of the timber in it's original state producing the aesthetically pleasing gently convexing shape to the surface. The chunky walnut legs add to the organic feel of the table by allowing people to visualise the timber as an actual cross section of the tree from which it came, with the lovely coloured robust bark adding to this. A nicely shaped cherry shelf was then joined low level to complete the look whilst adding strength and practicality.

Oak Burr Table

This fantastic slice of oak burr was selected for it's interesting shape, it's densely knotted swirling grain pattern and its robust bark. For colour contrast, pieces of walnut and cherry were joined together to form legs. These were formed in a T shape to compliment the shape of the oak burr. This small table looked great simply dressed with candles to add colour and organic beauty to suitable living areas.
